Curriculum

Our curriculum will provide medical students with exposure to Global Health topics throughout all four years of medical school.  Students will be paired with a research mentor based on their academic interests and will be expected to participate in Global Health research during the summer between MS1 and MS2.  Additionally, students will be expected to participate in a Global Health clinical rotation during MS4 year.  These international rotations will be financially supported by the School of Medicine (up to $6000 for both trips).

MS1 Curriculum

  • MS1: Introduction to Global Health Research course (SOM1-248)

    • The purpose of this experience is to conduct high quality Global Health research, and participate in producing a peer-reviewed publication (with your mentor).
    • Site placement will be based on student interests.
